Right...this is the first place I've come to before anything else...

For the past few months I've been experiencing a wierd kinda ache or pain towards the back and above my left testicle. Up until now, it only came about at certain times. Now this will sound wierd, so I'm hoping someone can explain, but only after spending a night in with my girlfriend (not sex, just other stuff/fooling around) will this pain come about. Usually once she's gone home. It's not agony, but its there, and it's uncomfortable. Touching and poking it makes it worse, but I can't pinpoint an exact location, just towards the back of it. After half hour or so it will fade away. I can't feel any substantial lumps but when the pain comes about there does seam to be something there slightly larger than normal, but not on the actual testicle, its sort of floating about towards the back or above it. Still nothing precise and nothing I can explain, like I can't call it a 'lump' as such...but I dunno The past couple of days it's sorta stayed with me. It's not as bad as usual but theres something, and I find myself prodding it and moving them about as almost a habit just to try and relieve myself of it. Another thing I thought I'd mention, which might be totally normal I don't know, but I've been feeling those tiny muscle spasms in the same area, like those you get in your cheek or arms/legs etc...Anything to do with it or not? Hopefully someone (probably an expert with all this info I've given lol) can shed some light on my situation? Thanks...

Hmmm.
Sometimes if you're very aroused and then don't orgasm, your testicles can hurt. Do you orgasm when you're with your girlfriend? If you do, does the pain go away?

If you don't orgasm, try masturbating and see if it helps.

If not, I'd go see a doctor. All the extra 'activity' that's going on down there while you're aroused might be causing some sort of disturbance or aggravating something.

That was my thoughts on it, but someone else on another forum have told me it could be a varicocele, a varicose vein in the veins connected to my left testicle. I've looked it up and i think my symptoms do seem to match, and maybe being aroused affects it also...Masterbating usually helps also as I think it relieves some of the pressure from them.

Hi all

long time lurker first time poster.

I am similiar to Ratt100.

2-3 months ago (I think cant remembr exactly) i was masterbating and after it my right nut was extremely swollen and i could hardly walk or do anything - That night i put ice on it to try and ease the swelling - It worked a little but was still extremely swollen...Silly me left it for a few more days before going to the doctors...I told my doctor about it and without checking it he sent me for a ultra sound to test for torsion etc. Results came back and it was all clear. My doctor then gave me some anti inflmatory's etc to bring the swelling down and after about a week and a half it did!

At present my right nut (The one whihc was swollen originally) is about one and a half times bigger then my left one (Yes i know one is suppose to be bigger then the other) however i can still feel a slight pain occasionally every now and then (few times a day) but its not overly painful just ebough to annoy you etc......I am also thinking that it may be varicose vein's or something as it seems to be more around the testy's rather then the testy's itself. Can see the veins showing a bit every now and then aswell.

Thoughts? Im asusming its nothing to serious?.......I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday for something else so i will ask him about it then aswell but would like you lovely peoples thoughts Smile

Thanks

Hmm, I wrote something here yesterday... maybe it didn't send properly.

Anyways, if you can see the veins, it might be varicocele. It is associated with an achy feeling and visible veins above the testicle.

As for having one excessively larger testicle than the other... I honestly don't have an answer for you. I don't know what the problem could be... it could just be your genetics... has it always been that much bigger than the other?

It's always been a little bit bigger yes....To be honest never really took much notice of it until it swelled up that one time LOL.

How bad is variocele? Does it need urgent atention? I can definately see some veins above the testicles etc. How do you fix variocele?
