This was on the Today show a couple weeks ago.
But I've had MRSA. Two years ago, actually, right around this time. It was on my arm, and it started out looking like a pimple on my inner forearm, then it spread out and was like a boil. I was in the hospital for FIVE DAYS. They had to puncture it and crap and it was awful.
For the sake of you and your kids, PLEASE have it looked at!

Its been in the news recently over here too.
Poor oni they must be really sore Sad

One of my sisters keeps getting boils, for about the last 2 months I think, in her groin area. The doctor just said its because of damaged hair folicles and no big deal...or something. So she has to suffer with them. They go down but come back up big again later. She gets more health problems because she has downsyndrome so I kinda think the doctor is brushing it off because of that, which isnt right. He should give her some cream or something.

Sarah if you take oni to the docs let us know what they say plz.

MRSA is medication-resistant staphalococcus aureus (spelled that wrong). It's a staph infection that cannot be treated with traditional courses of medication. It can be fatal if left untreated.

Thanks. It's actually "poor Nate." I will make an appt with the doctor today. Nate has four of them already around the same area.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted.

I don't normally Google things because the results tend to FREAK people out...and I don't need extra stress.

I haven't called her Dr, or the ER. I've been monitoring her temp and there's no fever. So Staph is out of the question.

I've been soaking her a few times throught the day in Epsom Salts, and it's gotten SOOOO much better. It actually didn't swell up at all. It kept it's head and eventually busted in her diaper.

It started as one on the left cheek, and the night I posted, was when I noticed a TINY pimple on the right cheek. Come to find out, Baron was putting meds on the older/healed boil and then applying meds to the rest of her butt. He didn't realize that they carry bacteria that is EASILY spread and that's what caused the 2nd one.

I"ve been combining neosporin pain relief/ zinc oxide on it, and it's doing GREAT.

Thanks for all the comments ladies!!!!

lol...you ain't lyin!!

I had a cyst on my tail bone (that showed itself at the top of my butt crack) and talk about HUUURT!

I had to have it surgically removed. 36 stitches(3 layers of 12) in the crack of my a s s.... NOT fun! HAHAHA!!

Thank God for Baron, he cleaned it for me EVERY night! LOL!

LOL!!!! I KNOWWWW!!! I was TOTALLY BUMMED!!

That's ONE of the MANY reason I chose to birthe Oni drug free. I wanted to FEEL if something was going wrong with the scarred area on my butt!!

The Cyst DOES come back. The Dr told me I had a 50 50 chance of needing another surgery.

But when it does come back, I pop some antibiotics, and POOF...it VANISHES!!
