If you are having periods then you are ovulating, which means you may simply be timing sex wrong. Your body is working, so my best suggestion is to go to a fertility doctor and discuss the rarity of your periods and perhaps get you on some medicine that will kick start some more ovulation and get your cycles going faster.

You may need to be on a bc to regualte your periods first. Than ttc. Some times that is what you need to jump start your body after being on the shot since the shot tends to take away your periods. It may not even be that. I would make an appt with your dr and let him know what is all going on and I'm sure he will have some suggestions for you! Good luck and hope you conceive soon!!
