In 1998 I had a surgery for scoliosis.
They had to take bone grafts from my hip
and fuse them into my spine with a rod and
pins. It is now 2007 and the pain in my
hip where they removed the grafts is
getting more and more sore. I now have
knee pain on the same side as where the
grafts were taken from. A doctor sent me
for an MRI to see what's wrong with my
knee, but of course, I'm still waiting to
get in!! To top it off, I get my sciatic
nerve that acts up and shoots through my
leg every once ina while...Anyone know if
it's normal to have pain where the grafts
are coming from and if knee pain is
normal? Or any other info???

Well, the knee pain would anatomically
make sense, in that your gait is probably
affected by the absence of the donor
graft. If you don't mind me asking ---
what's your age?
