well as i've said before shawn and i are looking for a bigger place but we cant afford much.. the crap shack we are currently living in is 556 a month! and its in the middle of town but theres crime here (in this condo only since its cheap) and with reese getting close to walking and the fact hes crawling there is no room for him...

Well my mom works for some old lady that lives about 8 doors down from my dads place (in a trailor court) and well the lady is moving soon to live with her daughter in vancouver. She asked my mom if she would rent it from her for 800$ a month, but my moms boyfriend didnt want to because its so close to my dads place. (bad break up) Anyways so my mom told me about it and asked if we would want to rent it.. well we cant afford 800$ a month thats a big jump even if we ARE on rental assistance. so my mom said she would see if she could talk the lady down to at most 750$ a month (this includes pad fee) and we would be able to have our cat (nowhere here allows cats unless the place is like 1000$ a month which we DO NOT have) so my mom has to go do some work for the old lady and shes going to talk to her...

I'm REALLY hopping for some good news, we have been looking for like 5 months now and theres NOTHING! ... so wish us luck!

Thanks, it would be so nice... the only thing that would SUCK for me is the yard has a TON of flowers theres like no lawn.. so i would have a TON of gardening to learn and DO!.. my mom said she would help me with it.. im pretty sure dad would to.. i miss my dad i barley see him and being a couple doors down would help alot!.. the family im closest to all live on that side of town so i could walk to see my grandparents too, and my brothers both still live with my dad (ages 21 & 23) Oh and to make it even better Reeses little girlfriend lives up there too and shes like 6 months older then reese but they get along pretty good so he would have a baby friend to play with!

I hope you get it too! Let us know what she found out!

Hey saw that you said you are on renters assitance, and I was just wondering what it is? Do they just help you pay your rent every month? How do I get signed up! haha! I'm looking to move out of my parents house soon and if that would be something available here in wonderful ol' kansas I will definately look into it! But I've never heard of it before!

well apparently my mom has to talk to the old ladys daughter on the 8th so i have to wait to find out... grr...

I live in canada so renting assistance is probably differnt... Here anyone with one child or more that makes under 20.000$ a year can get on it, what they do is pay a certain percentage (depending on your income) of your rent.. i didnt apply for it shawn did... i think he downloaded some papers off the internet which we had to fill out with a bank statement and a copy of one of our tax file thingies. and sent that out... they pay pretty good they put it straight in the bank on the last buisness day of the month.. i think its abit more then half of our rent at the moment

I think it's more of a provincial thing cause we don;t have that assitance here . Here we have government funded housing but in the end it's all the same.

we have that too, but we got rental assistance here now too because of the low number of government housing
