My mom came over today to clean my house. I asked her a few days ago and I said I'd pay her. She busted butt cleaning every part of my house. It's so clean and cozy now. I did a lot of work too, but she did most of it. Well, when she was leaving I asked her how much and she said nothing. She doesn't want me paying her. I was expecting around 40-60 for the work she did. I was stunned. I think I'll slip at least a 20 in her purse tomorrow b/c I know she won't take it or get her an extra nice x-mas gift.
I'm just stunned.

She's usually not like that. I was very suprised. The reason I wanted her to come is because Jesse does the majority of the housework. It may be weird to you guys, but that's just how things work over here. I take care of some things, but he does the housework. I wanted to suprise him with a clean house so he wouldn't have to clean for the weekend. We're off together and I wanted him to enjoy it.

Yes, he has 5 brothers and none are like him. He likes to clean up.

I think I'll get her an extra nice x-mas gift instead of giving her money. She wants a gift card from the religious store or a pedicure gift certificate. I'll get her both. It feels so peaceful to have a clean house. I'll sleep great tonight.
