You deal. I'm sorry you are suffering but there is not very much you can do.

Massages? Maybe your doctor will refer you to physical therapy (didn't help me!). But for the most part, you are going to have to live with it.

The good news is it goes away after the baby is born!

i had it with william really bad and i didnt know if you could do anything for it and i just struggled. i just started to get it back today and i know its going to be harder this time round because with william i almost fell down the stairs as the pain was so bad at times. this time im scared the same thing will happen again as im top floor flat and will have to carry william up and down those stairs.
i guess if there's really nothing that can help, ill have to get onto the council and pray they move us Sad
thanks for the input Very Happy

Stairs are awful. Don't go up the stairs if possible with sciatica! Honest. Stairs = BAD BAD BAD!

You can try those tummy bands. The physical therapist said it would hold my belly up and keep my back from shifting. That did not work either. I had it from around 9 weeks until delivery. I felt much better a few weeks after I had her.

Good luck!!

Lucky me, living 3 floors up with no lift! Okay, i'm definately going to mention it to my doctor and start complaining to the council otherwise i think i'll be under house arrest, too scared to go down those stairs!
Thanks Ingi. I'll definately look into that. Seriously, if it helps the slightest, i'll try it Very Happy

All i seem to be drinking is water anyway because the amount of times i caught a water infection during my last pregnancy is unbelievable, so i'm drinking loads and hoping i dont catch that this time LOL.
Isn't pregnancy fun?

i had sciatica both times but i didnt get it until the end with joseph, i figured it would go away, but after i had him i couldnt sit on the floor without the pain coming back or lay on hard floor either, then it started early with jordynne omg it sucks , everytime i swept and mopped it killed me so my house wasnt the cleanest while i was pregnant. I still get sciatica pain sometdays when i do alot of strenious work. LIke i will be bent over sweepin and moppin and folding clothes etc, its only on my left side though, sometims i cant even sit on that side comfortably.

I have sciatica and i'm not pregnant. When t flares up it is agony. I find the best thing is a hot water bottle where it hurts. I've tried the heat pads but they are rubbish.

I can't recommend anything for the shooting pains in the legs though- i just cry like a baby with it usually Embarassed
