Q: Swollen Parotid Gland

I have had a problem with my parotid glands on both sides swelling when i eat or drink, i have had this disorder for many years, however, during the last 12 months or so, it is occurring more frequently, sometimes every day for 4 - 5 days then maybe nothing for a couple of days then it will happen again, it is extremely painful

I have had a sialogram and it showed no stones or blockages and no tumors were present.

I have also visited an oral surgeon who decided to place a probe into the duct to hopefully stretch it open more, however, this did not work, a couple of hours after this procedure it swelled again,

My brother and mother also suffered from this condition, but not as severe as mine

Can anyone please help me with my problem
