Q: Light Pregnancy Test Result

My DH and I have been trying for about 6 months. I have had a little trouble due to the fact that I have a low functioning thyroid (My levels are within normal due to meds). I took an early pregnancy test (one that can test up to 5 days before your missed period) at 3 days prior to missed period and got a positive. The next day I took another and got another positive. But both times the test line was fine but the positive line was light. Could this just be because it is before I have actually missed my period? I have done this for the last 3 months and it correctly said negative so I don't think it is a false positive but I am just concerned. Thanks,

If the line was there no matter how light it's positive. When I called to make first prenatal appointment they told me there was no such thing a false positive. So I think it's safe to say you're pregnant, congrats.

I read that there IS such a thing as a flase positive but it is very rare and down to the pregnancy test being faulty. The best thing is probably to go to your DR and get a blood test done. Much more accurate. x

Extremely eHealthy
There is always a chance that it could be an evaporation line. So your best bet is to retest in a day or two. By this time the line should be darker and than you will no for sure if you are preggo. Testing early can result in a faint line.....so your not out of the running yet.

Good luck!!

Am I pregant?
I took a pregnancy test, and the test was hard to read. But I swear that I see a very very light fainted line. I just don't know if I'm imagining it. Anyone have any Idea??

Pregnant?
Why not get a pregnancy stick test that has the WORD "pregnant" or "not pregnant" on it as the result? They're not that much more expensive, maybe $1-2 dollars more. The result is clear and easy to read.

When I was pregnant with twins I had a faint line. I was told a line is a line and it's positive.

3 Times?
We are trying to get pregnant for more than a year now, and I have had lots of pregnancy tests....all negative. But today, I had one with a light line. I tested again and the same light line showed. I waited 3 hours and tested again....and a darker(only a little) line was visible. Can it be? Can I be pregnant?
