i have ptds and i'm also bipolar. recently, maybe 1 year ago, during a down episode i went to my university's mental health care facility and took a very lengthy test over the course of two days. they said that my test was classic PTSD. i was confused because i went through years of therapy and was not having any flashbacks. fyi, a phd did my analysis, not the grad student. although she was great. anyway, they told me that research is showing that there are different stages of PTSD and the medical community is trying to come together on it and publish. i haven't looked into it because i'm dealing with my bipolar issues right now. but, i hope to soon. anyone know about that??

I haven't heard about different stages of ptsd. It's all new to me. I have it too. I hope to come out of it soon. Anyway, this is interesting. I know at times, I had it more than others. Different stages? Maybe a google search is the best answer.
