I have been on birth control pills for over a year now. I know that they prevent ovulation and thicken the CM so you don't get pregnant. Ever since I've been on birth control pills, my CM has been the same...minimal and thick. All of a sudden, while I was in class today, I started to feel really wet down there. I went to the bathroom and noticed a very stretchy, clear CM flowing out of me. I haven't had CM like this since before I went on the pill. I know it is 99% effective, but do you guys think that this could potentially be ovulation against the odds? I've been taking it every day at the same time like I should be, but in the whole year that I've been on the pill, I've never had CM like this. I wouldn't account it to anything else (its not from being horny because..well...I wasn't? haha. it shouldn't be any kind of infection because its normal, clear CM and doesn't itch or anything at all). Do you think I should use a condom this month along with the pill just to be safe or is this something I shouldn't really be worrying about?

You could always buy an ovulation detection kit. If this is fertile CM then you need to use protection for a week to be safe. Again as you said it's unlikely, but if you want to be safe, go ahead and use a condom.
