Q: Birthday Present Help!!

Ok ladies I need help.

I'm pretty good at baby shower presents. But, Im not so good with birthday presents.

I have a friend (my sil best friend) who's daughter is turning One in December. We were invited to the birthday party (we are all pretty good friends) and I'm at a loss for what to get her!! I asked the mother what would be a good idea, and she said 'whatever you want to get her is fine'. That was a lot of help. Confused

Anyways, I'm looking for some suggestions as to what would be a good thing for a one year old. I know that the parents are a little tight on money (they are 18 and 19) But, I can't think of anything that would benefit them aside from a grocery store gift card...but I don't want that to seem rude.

Any advice is welcome!!

If you are unsure of specific gifts, maybe you can get them a gift card to babies-r-us so they can pick out the things they like for their little one.

I'd give clothes (find out her exact size) or a gift card to toysrus. Babiesrus is a little too baby for a 1 year old.

I almost always give books to kids that age. Chunky little board books are great! my kids both love the maisy books, and lift the flap books, too.
