Have you ladies ever got a 4D ultrasound done before? I went and got mine done in Sacromento, CA a few weeks back and I loved it. The lady who preformed the ultrasound on me laid me on my back on a hospital like bed and lifted up my shirt, put cream on my belly and began my session. As I layed there, in front of my was a huge screen with my baby projected onto it! It starts as a reg 2D black and white images until she locks onto a body part to focus on. With us we wanted to see her face so the lady would lock onto her head in 2D then add the golden color of 4D to bring out the graphic details of my daughters face! It's so amazing, our daughter was a wiggle worm so this took several tries to capture her beautiful face, but we got it. Best part is the entire session of this being preformed was recorded on DVD and had Disney music recorded onto the background too! I got a full 25 mins worth of baby action! In my film my daughter sucked her thumb, cried, sucked on her umbilicord (or was putting it in her mouth anyways), stretched, and moved around like crazy. It was so amazing, I suggest if any of you ladies are prego to go have one done but make sure your at least 30 weeks along, so you can see your baby more detailed. It is a bit expensive, I think the cheapest I've seen is 95 bucks but it's so worth it. If you can't afford to have it done I suggest that you have someone set up a what I call "baby fund" at your baby shower and what donations you get use it on this. I've done this "baby fund" thing for years with friends and family and it works good for anything you need it for. Wether it's a pack of diapers for baby when moneys tight or an un-expected ER visit. They also give you print out pictures of your baby to share with friends and family. The DVD however is priceless and its fun to watch time and time again. I brought mine to my baby shower and my family and friends were amazed as i was. I can't wait to show this to my daughter when shes older. Oh yeah, if you havent found out the sex of your child they can determine it for you there also.

4D ultrasounds are great. We would print them and give them to our family. Everyone thought they were wonderful

I think they're kinda creepy looking, in all honesty. I don't know why.

I'm happy with my (2-d?) ultrasounds.

I enjoyed mine. I see some of the ladies in different states, and they are much better than the ones i got. I live in south dakota. I mean they were good, and it's a lot more fun than the regular ones, but they were all just kinda blurry, and i couldn't make the pics out that well. That and she won't show us her face!

I noticed that the GE ultrasound machines are the clearest from what I've seen.
