Q: Painful Bowel Movements

Ok - I know this is gross - but I have a question. Embarassed

every time I have to have a bowel movement I feel like everything down there gets all swollen and sore afterwards. Most of the time the bottom of my stomach hurts really bad. When I go to the bathroom the pressure in my stomach goes aways but afterwards I feel kind of "funny." Sometimes my legs feel really heavy and I do not feel right for a few hours?

I even get the chills and once I go to the bathroom I may go 3-5 more times in about 2 hours...

Is all this the symptons for a stomach virus or do you think I need to see my doctor?

Bowel movements are normal!

Could be a bacterial infection - those can cause frequent stools and pain in the abdomen. You can get your stools checked by a diagnostic lab or see a GP first and go through the whole routine.
