Married For 6 Years And Need Advice..... Posted: 11-17-07 17:08pm
I was unsure which board to post this on
but since it involves sex I figured this
is the best place for this.
I have been with my husband going on 9
years 6 of those married. For the first 5
years everything was great in the sex
dept. This was until I got my tubes tied 4
years ago after my last son was born. The
first year after I had my tubes tied
everything was alright for the most part.
But when my youngest turned 1 year the
desire to have another child hit me. And
thats when the problems began because it
then hit me I could not have anymore. It
was like a switch got shut off and I had
no desire to have sex anymore. I still had
sex but not as often and it was more for
his urges than mine.
I do have an understanding husband and we
have talked about this and he does not
push me or anything. And no he does not
cheat because of this issue. I just wanna
make this clear.
I am looking I guess for advice on how to
get past this issue. I recently lost 30lbs
(from 160-130) and that has helped some. I
feel better and in turn feel more in the
mode. But in the back of my mind I hope
that the tubal fails (no matter how rare
this is) and hope for a pregnancy every
month. I want to get past this before It
does some real damage to our sex life.
Any advice please.

I think some therapy from a caring
psychologist may help you to talk through
these issues. I'm sorry I'm not much more
help than that!

Is having a child out of the question for
you? I mean, could you adopt or something?
But I agree with Eiri, you should talk to
someone about it.
