Can this be menopause. Late on cycle for 2 months now and had tubal 17 yrs ago. Negative pregnancy blood test. Blood work, urine test and exam all normal. My doctor has sent off blood work to see if I am in menopause and should have the results in 2 wks. My Dr. sent 3 days ago for an ultrasound and they called yesterday and said the results were normal with the uterus wall, lining, and ovaries all normal. No blockage or disruption in tubes that could be seen and fluid level in my uterus was normal. Have had mild constant cramp-like sensation in center pelvic region with constant tingling sensation in the clitoris that make me have to urinate a lot. I am so confused and don't know what is going on. Confused

Yes, it's just another phase of growing up to deal with lol. I believe I am in menopause, athough my periods have not stopped completely. The worst part about it for me is the tiredness... I am a high energy woman and I believe since I started menopause I've become easily tired and fatigued.

It starts with skipping your periods and then all of a sudden you will get it without warning. I would skip it, get extremely bloated and uncomfortable and then a few months of that and then it came. Now I am 50 and have not had it in 9 months...so you will know when you are in it, you might have the hot flashes and night sweats. You could be in the peri-menopause, which can last for years. But, it is a natural process, nothing to be afraid of!

Yes, I am 49 so my periods are now becoming irregular whereas before I was like clockwork. My periods have also changed. They are very light now, they went from being very heavy to very light. What I'm concerned about and would like to hear others experience about is other symptoms, like fatigue, crying, depression...

I too experience depression and crying spells. My doctor gave me zoloft. I feel better, but I still have my days. The sweats are disrupting my life. I work in a hospital and it is very high paced and all of a sudden I will be soaking wet. Sometimes they are hot flashes and sometimes sweats. If I get nervous they get worse. I am taking natural vitamins and flax seed oil which used to help, but now it does not seem to be doing the job. I don't want to take hormones, people have told me they gain weight and don't feel well on them. I have already gained 10 pounds, and I do exercise and eat well. But, I guess this is all part of the process...

I too hesitate to take the hormones because I hear they cause breast cancer. My mom was taking the hormones and she developed a lump in her breast which was not malignant, but still. The weight at this stage of the game is something I constantly have to battle with. There is a tendency to gain more around the middle. I do have hot flashes but not the sweats yet. Although a friend of mine has had the sweats and apparently they do go away at some point. I take an antidepressant too, but still sometimes I'll just cry for apparently no reason. You called them "spells" - yea, that's what it's like. Anyway, good luck to you!
