Can eating a lot of spicy food, pretty much at every meal and not drinking enough liquids during the day cause stomach bleeding?? I noticed I went to use the rest room cuz I was having cramps and my bm it was a light color but I could see blood in different areas. I have been eating only spicey foods and havent been drinking much water or liquids. Does anyone klnow what this could be??? I was told if you have dark red to black bm it's stomach bleeding.

But what is up with it being a light brown and bloody in some places???

Pretty serious. Anytime you have bloody stools you need to get it checked out ... don't hesitate and get a stool sample analysed asap. At least thats what I've read. Better to be safe than sorry.

I wonder if ulcers cause blood in stools?
