Bleeding Internally - what is causing loss of blood? Posted: 11-16-07 08:05am
I posted a question regarding bleeding
internally, but did not expound on what
already has been done. A scope has been
put down throat and there is no bleeding
in this area. There is no blood in the
stool. However feel like could sleep at
any time. Am on iron pills because of low
iron and do have an appointment with a
specialist. But am eager to find out what
might be causing loss of blood. Recently
donated plasma because prior to tests was
feeling good. Wondering if giving blood
could have caused this to happen again.

I doubt very much that you giving blood
had much to do with this. Almost sounds
like a B-12 deficeincy.

Did your doctor check your iron levels
before you started the iron pills to do a
comparison?
I agree with MsCarrie it might be your
B-23 deficient, if that's the case you may
need B-12 shots as most people who are
B-12 deficient their body is unable to
absorb the pills. There is usually an
underlying cause for lack of B-12 which
can be found a special set of blood tests.
