Absesses
Posted: 11-15-07 16:12pm

I have been getting a lot of absesses. One on my back and about 10 on my sides where my stretch marks are from having a baby. My blood results show I do not have an infection, but I am still concerned. Is it Staph or MRSA? Even if it is nothing, they are very uncomfortable, they hurt a lot, and they are scarring me for life. It is embarrassing to keep getting these. Everytime I ask the doctor what it is, they just say "some people are prone to them". Can somebody help me?

I would personally get a second opinion from an infectious disease doctor. Something is causing the abcessess, especially if they are occuring so often.

I am the same way! Every month [or twice a month] for 2-3 years I have gotten random infections. They have done all sorts of blood work but nothing abnorm, I have gotten 3 abcesses in my throat in the space of 4 months when I went through a bunch of bouts of strep, I got shingles as a kid and now it seems like my body is attackin the right side of my body!!!!!! 2 bouts of staph in 3 weeks [i have cleaned everything in my house] along with this i am completely and uterally exhausted constantly...
someone said something about celiacs....
would this be a culprit if i had it?
I am only 18 and from all the infections i have become immune/allergic to most antibiotics!!!!
