LOL I have clothes on!

& I really want to be a labor and delivery nurse one day, but I don't think they'd let me job shadow one of those lol so anything with babies/kids right now is good.

I'm gonna go change my avatar now haha

Bless you for wanting to be that kind of nurse. I wondered what kind of people pick that job voluntarily when I was giving birth. My nurse was amazing, but it's got to be the hardest job there is in a hospital. Smile

I'm so psyched to meet another bichon owner! Mine is 8 months old. She's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Very sneaky, though. Super affectionate and smart, too. What is yours like? What's his/her name? What makes them "monsters" (lol!)?

haha well where I'm from they are pretty common. My dog is coming up on eight years old. I got him when I was in sixth grade so I could learn about responsibility Wink

Anyways his name is Scooter-- he was named by 4 kids and thats apparently the best we could come up with hehe. He's still adorable. He just hasn't mellowed out yet and I don't think he ever will. My dog is very sneaky and smart though he never really uses his sense for anything but trouble making. He knows just when everyone looks away so he can sneak off and get into something. Thats really the only thing I've got to call him a monster-- mostly because it was always my stuff he ruined Smile House training was near impossible it seemed too, but I love him. They are good dogs.

I never really cared for the black gunk in the corner of their eyes. Scoots never got it so bad but his siblings did and it was horrible! Are you going to spend hours a day combing their hair the traditional bichon way? XD What's she named?

My puppy is named Snowy. It seems to be a common Bichon name (wonder why, lol!)
She wipes the black gunk out of her eyes by herself every morning, so she has NONE. Isn't that amazing? (I'm biased!) She has it when we first got her and I was grossed out. It was very difficult to remove. My vet told me to get a flea comb and brush under her eyes. That worked great, but now she really does it by herself.

Smile

I have her groomed every 6 weeks for her fur.

You're very lucky she grooms herself so well! The vet told us that there is something about Scooter's eyes that made it so he didn't get it much thank god! A friend of ours got the other puppy that was born with Scooter and her eyes are pretty bad and they don't feed her dry food so she always has a huge mess around her mouth too. Ick.

I remember googling how to care for bichons and I accidently clicked on a site talking about dog show bichons and they said they groomed them three hours daily to make them poof. haha I love my dog, but not that much Very Happy But I think when he would play outside the snow would make his coat mat easier so I spent a lot of time brushing through it anyways.

If you want to shadow Labor and delivery and they won't let you, why don't you see if you can shadow a doula or a lay midwife?
