My camera broke yesterday. The film got stuck, I had to get them to sort it out at the photo store but some or all of the pics will have been destroyed Sad She said not to use it anymore and advised me to get a digital one next time....I have no clue about those Confused
Which digital one would you guys, recommend I get? (not too expensive)

there was a way that if u hadnt opened the camera they have a black bag thats lightproof they could have taken the film out and put it in a temporary film holder, ive done that plenty at walgreens when i worked in photo.
i think most digital cameras are pretty good, personally i like sony or fuji.

Olympus, Canon, and Nikon.... they make good cameras for all price ranges.... The main thing to look for is the most mega pixel and most optical zoom you can find for your price range... dont pay to much attention to digital zoom... it must make the pics more grainy... what price range are you looking at...I can search one out for you if you like....

I have a kodak easyshare. A lot of people complain about them, but I love mine and only paid about $140 for it, I think.

I have the Kodak Easyshare CX7300, it's a few years old & still works pretty well. I hate that it doesn't record sound with videos though. I'm going to be getting the Canan Powershot.

I don't remember exactly what model number mine is, a DXsomething, but it records sound.

Ok thanks, I havent started looking yet. They sound complicated to me, I'd rather stick with the old ones I know how to use lol! I love taking pictures though, I cant go long without a camera, definately need it before Christmas.
Erik im not sure what price range yet, I'll get back to you.

yucky pics? Mine come out good! I've never used a digital camera before so it seems complicated to me. Do you have to get photo paper and develop them yourself on a computer or do they do that in the stores?

You can do both... I have a photo printer at home so I can play around with things if I want... or if I want a quick print...but the ink is expensive... Wal-Fart, Sams, Walgreens, and other places do digital processing. Walgreens you can email your pics and they will have them printed for you.....

Personally when I get my pics printed, I take them to Sams... the one here keeps their chemicals changed and their machines calibrated.

i prefer digital because i like being able to just snap away and not worry about wasting film. i also like the instant gratification of being able to look at them right away and put them on the computer right away.

the downfall to digital (for me) is i can't keep up with printing the photos. we have a printer but photo paper and ink gets expensive. finn's photo album only goes up to about 3 weeks old, then i fell behind and now the thought of printing all those photos out is extremely overwhelming. i'm going to try walgreens soon and just print out the ones i want to frame.

you can do yourself or take your memory card and do it in a store machine.

I prefer digital over film any day....i can see what the pic looks like , I can delete and re take without wasting film...
