I agree with the others and hope you have seen a endocrinologist.
For years I was very tired and asked with each of my annual blood work to have my thyroid levels checks. But, each year I was told everything was normal. In November 2006, I had a standard checkup at the VA clinic. Part of the process is to do Xrays, they were concerned on the size of my Thyroid. I told the VA I would have my family Doctor check it out. But, when my Doctor reviewed my last Thyroid test she declaired everything was a ok. This time I asked for the specific numbers on the test and found there were some numbers that were out side the "norm".
I insisted to go to an endocrinologist, she did the antibody test and some other test plus an ultrasound. With all this the Endocrinologist said I have Hoshimoto's but we can't tell for how long I've had the Disease.
Though my little voice said something was wrong my Doctor dismissed my complaints. My night sweats (since 1994) all this time were attributed to menopause. My fatigue due to my Fibromyalgia (since 1989). My hair loss (2004) was probably just age (I'm 47).
I hope others don't wait. I hope when we have bad days, others can help lift us up. I wish you all the best.
