Can an abcessed tooth cause swollen lymph
nodes? I have a severe abcessed tooth
which has given me problems for a few
years. Last year I noticed that the lymph
nodes under my arms had swollen.
My insurance provides for MDs but not for
dentists, which is why I've not had the
blasted tooth pulled. (I'm retired and on
a fixed income) I've been seeing a surgeon
and getting cat scans for the lymph nodes
for a year and they have grown and
multiplied and he's ready to do a biopsy.
Since I know that the lymph node system
acts as a filter I'm wondering if my
abcessed tooth might actually be causing
the swollen lymph nodes.

Your tooth would not be affecting the
lymph nodes under the arm. The teeth do
not drain to the nodes under the arm. A
biopsy would be your best bet.

I have been having swollen and painful
lymph node right under my jaw line and
then done on my chest, Just found out it
is from a absessed tooth and decayed tooth
under a crown that was down years ago. I
trusted a dentist to do my root canals
right and now here a few years later, I am
going to have them 5 of them al retreated
or get all my teeth pulled. I am so
disquised. trying to get over a sinus
cold, Maybe all this time I been going to
different doctors for all sorts of
problems was because of teeth infections
all the time. I went to an endodonist, I
have to pay for all this work myself, The
one I went to wont use anything to help
relax you and I rather him just put me out
and do them all at one time. I am a bad
gagger, fibro, sinus infection now, and
other health problems, Does anyone know
if there are endodonist that will put you
to sleep like an oral surgeon can? Also am
I better to have all my teeth out, maybe *
have 10 original teeth all rest are root
canaled and going bad. Hate losing my
teeth but hate all this pain also,. Still
kicking myself that I trusted this dentist
and he did them all wrong and now they are
infected. I have rattled on enough, I am
just upset and scared, Too much going on
with all these infected teeth under crowns
affecting my life, dad fell and broke his
neck in nursing home, I have
diverticulosis, IBS, acid reflux, fibro
and I panic alot anymore, Any suggestions
about teeth would be greatly appreciated,
