Q: Post Pneumonia Chronic Sinusitus

started 8 weeks ago with typical sore throat which quickly became head cold which settled into my chest and developed into a pneumonia. Confirmed by an ex-ray. (one side, lower lung, localized) from the beginning my Dr has prescribed 6 different antibiotics. The chest cold has improved as well as fevers and feeling really bad, but I still suffer from sinus presure with headache and still white or clear flegm from lungs and head. Now I'm feeling a burny sensation in the lower throat. I'm wondering if the antibiotics could be giving me an acid reflux type problem? Is there a good cure for sinusitus?
Thanks
D

Well, if the mucous is clear it's probably allergies for now. Typically if you have an infection the mucous would be colored yellow or green. Clear usually means you are in the clear. You could talk to your doctor about maybe getting some antihistamines to help with this. Also, prolonged use of antibiotics can cause short term problems with your stomach such as acid reflux. Try taking some tums or some other over the counter medicine.
