I returned from Malaysia on September 25
(it is now Nov.14th). I was attacked by
sand fleas while I was on the beach and
they still itch now. The ones that I
thought went away keep coming back. The
itch is TERRIBLE and leaving chicken pox
like scars when the bite goes away. I'm
very worried that they are still itching
after almost 2 months. I've been reading
about this cutaneous lichenmiasis disease
carried by sand fleas but it doesn't seem
to be found in Malaysia. Also, my bites
don't look like the photos I've seen.
They look like little hard, raised, red
bites. but I"m still very concerned I
have some disease. And because I'm an
American and I've just returned from
living overseas I don't have health
insurance so I cant' visit the doctor
because it will cost me hundreds of
dollars just to get a consultation. Any
advice? Is it common to have these bites
itch after soooo long?
