Q: Jaw Pops Outward?

I have a question. I'm not sure if I have TMJ or not. I have none of the symptoms such as popping and/or clicking, nor do my eyes get blurry or watery other than when I wake up.

But one thing that stricts me is the movement of my jaw. Whenever I open my mouth it kinda pops outward. I'll try and explain a little better lol.

Where my sideburns are, the joint where my Mandible mets my head? that little joint right there moves out or to the side from my pov. If my hands are over it when I do this I would describe it as a rolling motion, If I move it back and forth from when it moves from ''normal' to outward it feels like its almost double jointed.

any help with what I might have or if I'm just being worried over nothing will be helpful thanks.

I think you may just be worried. its normal for the joint to "bulge" a little. is there any pain or noise at all?

there is a possibility that you have a mild form of tmd. are you under a lot of stress? it may be stress induced.

I have to agree with dyanmatteson. I use to have your symptoms exactly before it turned into full blown tmj. Even now it clicks when I begin to open my mouth but turns into a full grating noise and feel. My jaws tend to bulge a bit more than what's considered normal, moreso on my left, and my chin pushes back against my throat which is abnormal when fully opened. However in your case, if your jaw rolls outwards I think it's considered normal.
