Take heart gvenkat, there's not too much you can do "wrong"
Most of the seamen ejaculated during sex comes out again anyways. Luckily, it only takes one to fertilise the ova.
I wouldn't worry too much about the foreskin issue, as long as some seamen ends up on the inside, I'm sure 1 little guy will find his way!
You might like to try lying down on your back for a while after sex, and even elevating your hips with a cusion or pillow, to give those little spermies a good chance to make their way to where the action is.
good Luck- we're trying two, also, on month two (although I never count the 1st month off the pill as really official trying)
Start taking folic acid now, and watch you diet. Make sure it's healthy - lots of fruits and veggies. Basically, start treating your body as if you're already pregnant to really help create an environment for conception.
Timing is important. I used to be under the impression that the best time to try was right during ovulation (i.e. day 14 approx. of the average cycle). I later found out that because sperm live so much longer than the egg, it is better to try right before you ovulate (days 12, 13), that way the sperm are ready and waiting for the egg as it approaches.
Also, during this approximate time, when you notice your vaginal mucous is thicker, go for it right then!
P.S. These days are for the average cycle. Many women ovulate at different times than the middle of their cycle. If you know when you usually ovulate, adjust these days/dates accordingly.
