Hi, my name is Jessica and my period is 10 days late.

I have a very distinct feeling i'm pregnant, but both hpt tests came back negative.

i have some symptoms including, nausea with no vomitting, fatigue, frequent urination, gas, constipation, and an increase in appetite. my last period was 10/03/2007. I have no spotting, no cramps, no signs of my period coming at all.

I just want to know how bad being sick while pregnant is, I just came down with bronchitis along with the pregnancy symptoms- period was late long before I got sick.

Right now I have severe hiccups, really horrible sore throat, and wheezing. Please help!

have you been takeing meds for broncitos?

if you tested correctly and at the right time after a missed period then the tests should have been acurate. since they were neg your most likely not pregnant

i didn't say they where. i've read that sometimes hpt's are not always accurate, false positives, false negatives, and i've set up a doc's appt. answering your question, no i haven't taken any meds other then tylenol for the bronchitis.

The wheezing and everything is all symptoms of bronchitis, I know that, but on top of that before I got sick I had and still have the symptoms of pregnancy, I'm asking, since Im not scheduled to see the doc till next week, what are the chances of hurting the baby from being sick.

you dont get a false positive unless theres something seriously wrong with your body

and if you use a test correctly after a missed period then it wil come out correctly
false negs rarely happen as well
if you took an hpt and you were already late when you took it and it said neg then your 99% most likelu not pregnant

after a missed period your body would have produced enough HCG to show up on the test

i tested negative to 2 pregnancy tests - 1 the day after i missed my period, and a week after. then i came down with a horrible flu. i tested the again week after that and it was positive. i just saw my dr who confirmed it and she said that i am 7 weeks now. pregnancy runs down your immune system. also you have to have enough hormone to show positive - it doesn't always happen until a few weeks after you miss your period. in regards to being ill and harming the baby, there always a risk of abnormalities in pregnancy, but to not worry. i think you should test again if you still don't get your period next week!
