Wow. You started college really early, huh?

Hair loss can occur with stress. Have you changed your diet at all? Are you getting a good night's rest? How many hours do you sleep each night?

yea over here you start college early..
well i don't think i changed my diet in any particular way ?
well at that time not many as i had too much problems to deal with like
sudden change of surroundings like college.. family... friends..
you know ><
now i do try to get 8 ours but its hard since i either over sleep and can't get back to sleep later or i just can't get up cause i feel so worn out.
I tend to end up sleeping over 12 hours > i tend to worry alot especially exams , or problems ...
what's wrong with me?
even though i know about the illness i have ..
i don't think it is relevant to my hair loss...
o and by the way thank you very much for replying ^^

You might want to check in with a dermatologist who is an expert on skin and hair issues. These doctors specialise in diagnosing hair disorders and you might get some more objective feedback with medical basis.

I with u on this, I also started college when I was 16, and its very stressful. I cut my hair n the stress has been making my hair come out. Im also seeing a dermatologist.

I would recommend trying Nioxin Follicle booster on the patch. Its made of natural viatimins, its a gel u apply. It irritates the area applied to, to promote hair growth.

Ive used it on my hairline n Im happy to say its growing back.

Use whatever the dermatologist perscribes, but I know alot of people who have used this n its worked.

Dont use the other products of Nioxin just the follicle booster..

hello
Sorry for the very late reply
my dermatologist has given me a gel to put on it happily to say it is growing back well half of it , i guess it take patience
i havew been told its called Alopecia areata
however i realized i have got another 2 small patches now , but i think this time i can cope since its not as big as my first one..
can any of you help me on how i can stop these patches occurring
i know its from stress but , i don't understand how they just suddenly appear..
i know recently well about a month ago i was stressed because 2 of my close friends was leaving for a month..
I also found out the top of my head the hair is rather thin, my gynecologist told me its due to the illness i have
and plus it may be linked to diabetes which my father has..
i have recently applied to learn to drive, i have had my first lesson however, i was really stressed and nervous ..
im worried this will have a impact on the patches..
any advice?..
please and thank you to everyone for their kind advice ^^

Good to hear
Hi,
My mom has had the same problem in the past, a few patches around her head, and they kept getting bigger. She was very worried.
But a doctor refered her to a skin specialist. They used a needle to inject something around the bald patch to prevent it from getting bigger and then gave some cream to put on the bald patch...in a few months, her hair was growing back.
But lately, its happened again. So, we hope the same procedure will work again. For her it was purely a stress related thing.
For those of you out there freaking out, dont worry - there are plenty of medical ways to fix it! Good luck!
