2. Hello,
I have read a few articles in the news paper that the color of the eye can be changed, permanently. By perfoming a minor surgery ( ambulatory Care ).
Do any of you or anyone who you know how that works, I am curious to know. Looking to change my eye color only for esthetics
As they say " Eat for thyself and dress for others "

Well Said..
I couldn't have said it better myself. What happens if you decide one day, after having changed your eye color, that you would like to change it again? Are you going to have another surgery done?

Contacts, in this case, appear far more economical.

Yep. Contacts are a lot easier than people make them out to be; when I first got them the lady had me try like, three different ways to get them in before I figured out the one that worked for me.

Contacts Still Aren't For Everyone
Personally, although I recommend contacts in this case, I would like it to also be known that contacts are not made for everyone.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I tried at contacts. I failed miserably. I think my eyeballs are either too big or shaped differently from others. LOL....

they have so many different kind of contacts to fit your eyes Smile
alot of people try contacts and feel they cant wear them or arent comfortable
you should speak with an eye doctor about it to see if they can help you choose a type that would be comfortable Smile

Actually, I did go the an eye doctor. He very patiently showed me how to put them in his own eye; then, he put it in for me. I kept blinking...it was hilarious. He finally got it in.

Then, he shows me how to take it out. Came out quite effortless, when he did it. When I tried, I spent at least a half an hour trying and failed. I ended up letting the doctor put them in and said I would try again later when I got home.

I fought like hell to get them out. I tried for several days repeatedly and failed. Since that, I gave up on contacts.

I had no problem getting them out; you just pull the edge, look away, and pinch. Putting them in is a little more difficult, but I use a similar method: I look to the side, place the contact on the white of my eye (prevents pain and blinking!) look into the contact, look straight forward again, then close my eye until it stops trying to blink.

I with you on this one. I just don't do well with things going towards my eyes.

Natural reflex, I guess. Kudos to those that can.

I had a bona fide anxiety attack the last time I went to the eye dr's. I ended up laying on the floor almost unconscious and they had to call a nurse in!

I hate going to the eye doc. I can't imagine contacts. I would become an alcoholic if I had to put contacts in everyday.

I'm so weird. I really do get an addictive adrenaline rush when I go. I like getting tests done, having my eyes examined, etc.

If you really don't like how you look with glasses then you would find a way to like contacts.

My husband wears contacts, his is quite blind so his glasses are quite thick so he likes to wear contacts. He really wants to have the lasik surgery and I can understand cause I wouldn't like to deal with contacts neither.
