Hi,

i am 30, have had one mymectomy. Had 2 miscarriages (reason undetermined, all tests normal) diagnosed with adenomyosis a few months back and put on lupron, have taken my 4th dose. I have a 40 mm thickening in the utreus wall. Got an ultrasound done which showed no effect after 3 monhs of lupron.
Was reading on the net and am confused as it says that lupron does not improve fertility. In fact causes birth defects. My doc says to take it for 6 months, is it safe to conceive after lupron immediately or is ther a period of time I have to wait. If I have to wait will the adenomyosis not return? So what is the use for taking it in first place. Please advice anyone as I have to take the 5th dose in a few days.

Thanks in advance...

I am 18 and in the same situation as you are. I just got married 3 mos ago and have been ttc for 6 mos. I was digonosed with adenomyosis when I was 17. Has anything helped for you yet? I don't know much about this so anything you can tell me would be helpful. Thanks so much! Jess Crying or Very sad

About Lupron
Hi girls, I don't have exacly the same condition as you do, but I do have endometriosis. Which I think is the same thing.. Just in a different place. Anyway, my doc. Wanted to put me on lupron for my treatment, and I refused. I beg everyone to do some research on the drugs that
their doctors prescribe, before use.

Back to your question... I have read that it does not increase fertillity, and can cause birth defects. Also, iread that your supposed to wait at least six more months before trying to concive. Here are some web sites that were helpful to me....Good luck

Hi guys,

I had adenomyosis, but it was only a small section. My doctor used a laser to remove it and ive had no probs since.
