Hi there, could increased stomach acid/indigestion be caused by anxiety? if so ever since, when experiencing anxiety i can really feel the stress in my chest/ a tightening feeling. Is this common? I'm a bit concerned as i get it a lot and the more anxious i get the worse it gets.

Hi Charlie22
I believe all of the above symptoms can be caused by stress, yes. You might want to ask you doctor about an RX acid reducer or an over the counter brand. And of course this will make you even more anxious then you already are.

Thoughts?

Carrie
