I want you little girls to take a realistic look at how much money it takes to raise a child. Do any of you make this much money in two years?

The annual amount for food seems a little low considering I spent about 400$ a MONTH when I lived off campus a year ago.

I thought the clothing bill was a little low as well. Clothing is expensive. What's sad is I think this is defined as providing the bare minimum...I honestly think most of the teens here make a quarter of that or less because they have no career (just a job).

Most of these teen mom wannabees don't even think that far into it. They just want a baby. Their friends have babies. Their own mothers often times were teen mothers.

Also, they think:

Isn't every family in America on welfare? Isn't that how everyone lives?

futershock, this could be wrong but i think a lot of it has to do with these girls wanting somone to love and carefor and someone who will do that for them too, also its a way to keep a boyfriend around in many minds

they want their own little dolls but they are too old for the plastic kind so they decide to go with the flesh and bone kind

IMO all of the totals are very low. If I only spent $127 on groceries a month I would have it made!

You might be on to something there. My husband recently said the exact same thing about the dolls.

As for having someone to love them unconditionally, I wonder if they ever ask themselves if they love their own parents unconditionally? Where do they get the idea that children will love them unconditionally in the first place?

Babies need their parents, and demand their parents' attention, etc., I wouldn't call that unconditional love. The babyhood ends very quickly, and then they are toddlers getting into everything, and trying to get away from their parents, so they can get into even more mischief, as well as danger.
