Can Diarrhea Effect Birth Control? Posted: 11-12-07 23:34pm
In the information packet that came with
my birth control it says that having
diarrhea or vomiting can cause the pill to
not be absorbed... the other night I had
moderate diarrhea about 7 hours after
taking my pill, is this enough time for
the pill to be absorbed... should I be
worried?

It should have been absorbed and with
diarrhea it's only when moderate to severe
I beleive but if you are worried check
with your pharmacist or Dr.

It takes less than 7 hours so I'm pretty
sure you are fine.
