Okay I gotta vent! I have time warner cable and also use them for my high speed wireless internet connection. At one time almost a year ago I paid a bill online. (which I NEVER do) I had no clue that they would no longer send me paper bills after that. So when I discovered that the only paper bills I was getting were diconnection notices (because I don't know to pay online) (plus I don't have my account b/c I no longer get a paper bill) I called and asked them to start sending me monthly statements via SNAIL mail. They said ok no problem they'll start sending them on the next billing cycle. Well I wait, and wait, and still waiting and NOTHING except for a bright yellow colored disconnection notice. So I paid it and called again. Still the same thing and yet the problem still wasn't fixed. So I decide to send them an email with my problem. I explain that I've spoke with a CSR on the phone 3 times and still the problem hasn't been resolved! I also tell them that if the problem isn't resolved this time that I'll be disconnecting my service with them. You would think after that, that they would correct the problem but they didn't. It's been almost a year with this problem and I'm completly fed up with these people. So I go online to bellsouth phone company and look at there internet options and tv options and also look at home phone service (I only use mobile at the moment) and I see that if I get a package with home phone, wireless internet, and satallite (sp) (which offers a little over 50 more channels than I'm getting now) I can get the whole package for $125 a month. Which is almost what I pay a month just for basic cable and wireless internet. So I set it up! They'll be out this week to begin new service. Come Wed. I'm calling Timewarrner and cancelling service! Plus it's a better deal. I'm just so frustrated with these people I could spit nails!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay I'm done venting! Thanks!

We did the same thing and dropped Time Warner... We called ATT (Southwestern Bell and other Bell companies) and had satellite installed. We already had DSL, cell phones (Cingular), and long distance land lines with them... with all that it still came out to the same price as Time Warner... but..my mom didnt like that the Weather Channel from the sat didnt have the local on the 8's....so... we have Time Warner again.... and the satellite had alot more channels and features... I loved it.

Yeah satellite has a lot more channels than time warner! I think we only get channels 2-78 with channels 95, and 99. And with satellite I think it's 140 or 150....something like that! I don't care anything about the weather channel I'll just look outside if I wanna know what the weather's like Smile If I need to know in advanced....that's what I got the internet for! I HATE time warner!!!!!! I'll be SOOOOO glad to get switched over!

I don't like Time Warner either, but it's all we can get. We use them for cable, wireless, and digital phone and something is ALWAYS out. Yesterday the cable was out for 4 hours...

Time Warner is the only option we have right now, and I have to say it blows! My internet is out a lot and they do nothing to make it right with us.
It is a lot better than dial up though
