went AWESOME.

The doctor was super nice! She was technically a "Reproductive Endocrinologist." She told us that she recommends getting my tubes "untied" (they were burned closed so untied really doesnt apply) instead of going thru IVF.. and if the tubal reversal fails then we'll go down that road.

She also said that since they were burned closed, that unless there is a lot of scarring, that we'll have a 80% chance of conceiving within 6 months to a year after the procedure. Shes seen it happen as early as 2 months but its rare.

I also had to have blood tests done.. THAT was fun. Jacobs going thru a serious seperation anxiety phase right now so he had to be on my lap when they drew blood. He FREAKED out when he saw me bleed a little when they took the needle out. Mama's boy.

Anyway.. I go back next Monday to get the ball rolling with insurance coverage and all that, and once all that is finalized, we schedule the procedure.

Seems like such a long and drawn out process. Sad

BUT

Its worth it ^_^

yeah me too! Rob had this *look* on his face while driving us home.. i was like, *whats wrong?* and hes like, *Its just surreal. Is this something we really want?* and i told him *well, if ur having any sort of doubt, then i dont want to do it.* and he was like, *No, no doubts at all. I just want to make sure YOU are ok with it. You're the one that has to go thru it again.*

Very Happy

So yeah. I luv mah man. ^_^

that's really exciting. I wish you luck, and hope everything goes well. I'm going to wait a till i'm 30 before i tie, or burn mine. Just to be safe. And if not i'm making him get snipped Smile Since i have to give birth to his kids lol

lol we talked about Rob getting snipped before Caty was born. I ended up getting my tubes tied tho i was afraid he'd be in too much pain, and its harder to reverse from what im told.

I'm so jealous!! I can't wait for my appt.

I'm glad she could tell you good news. How long will you be out of commission after the surgery?

If you don't mind me asking...how much did you have to pay today for this appt?

she didnt say how long i'd be out of commision afterwards.. thats a good question!

And it cost us $50 for the visit since it was a specialist the co-pay was higher, and the insurance covered the blood tests.

If i hadnt had insurance i think the consult is $125 plus all the tests. I didnt need any of the tests, since im not infertile.
