Q: Mineral Baths as treatment for Psoriasis?

Hi,

I am looking for help, opinions and information on mineral spas and treatments for Psorasis.

I saw some French Spas have treatments they claim work, but they don't really say how. Any ideas? Is it the sulffer or something in the water? Maybe the heat?

It seems people have been treated this way for 100's of yrs, so there must be something to it.

Unfortunately most the info is in French. Even Wikipedia doesn't say much about how they might work.

The only site I have found in English is "Frenchehalthspas.com" and they don't go into detail.

Dr. Weil seemed to say they work by relaxing people so their stress goes down and they feel better, but that seems rather simplistic.

Thanks,

Curious

Yes it can help but going to the beach is probably more effective. Soak in the salt water and get sun on your skin, a couple of weeks of daily exposure and you will be amazed.

psoriasis treatment
hey,
my name is krystine and i also have psoriasis.
ive tried countless things at spas and dermatologists, as well as many lotions and creams.

i recently started searching google for other ways to help my psoriasis more naturally or organicly since things at spas werent helping me any. Very Happy

i came across a site, emerysemuelixir.com, and contacted the site manager and began talking with her. very nice staff. Smile
i told them of my problems with my skin and they suggested their emu oil for skin.

when i got it i was sooooo ecited i started as soon as i opened the box

its been a few days now and i already have seen major results!!!

this stuff is simply amazing!! yes
i am so very excited to see it all disappear

hope this offers you some help
Very Happy
~Krystine

PS. they also sent me as a sample a 2oz. bottle of liquid cleanser that was made for chemo patients or people with sensitive skin. this came up while i was talking to the manager Karrie. She also told me it is very mild and there arent any harsh chemicals in it.
it feels somewhat soothing on the more irritated areas without drying it out.
Smile
(if your anything like me, all the body washes ive tried from target or walmart just dry my skin out and make it burn and itch)

Sea products
Be careful not to over stimulate the irritated areas. That will cause a even more rapid cell turnover causing even thicker psoriasis.

Two products to recommend. Both are from Arbonne International. Both items are recommended for sensitive skin.

Rejuvenating cream - this is a thick cream that is all natural and fragrance free. moisturizing your irritated skin and healing the cell that are over producing.

Sea Source Detox Spa 5 in 1 Massage Oil. oil-infused formula with stimulating ingredients that help soothe skin and deliver nourishing minerals. Again this product is fragrance free.

There are lots of websites that sell these products. I got mine from LKEssentials.myarbonne.com

apple cider vinegar
my massage therapist suggested apple cider vinegar as a wash for scalp psoriasis.
Has anyone tried this? Also... though it's not always possible... I live at the beach! A day or two in the sun and salt water FEELS AMAZING on my scalp!!!
