Hi, I'm 21, female, not overweight and no previous major health problems or allergies etc. There's also no real bad things running in my family. For the last few weeks though I've had a generally uncomfortable stomach. I feel much more bloated than usual after meals and sometimes swell up so much I seriously look like I'm 6 months pregnant. Sometimes more commonly at night or early in the morning I get what feels like nausea but not quite like I'm going to throw up. For the last couple of nights I've been woken up by my stomach at like 3am onwards in the morning and although I'm not in bad pain I am very uncomfortable and can't get back to sleep for about an hour. I've had a few weird pains under my left rib too though not sure if this is related. None of my symptoms are major, they're just constant and recurring. I haven't lost my appetite at all except now if I even smell something that my stomach doesn't like I feel like I'm about to be sick. It's like my stomach is just uncomfortable constantly. I guess it might also help to know that I feel my bowel movements have changed slightly. I used to go almost at the same time every day but now it's more random and also in it's consistency. Often it's a bit runnier than usual but still not diarrhea. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, I'm still hoping it will just go away by itself but it has been a few weeks now Sad

Hello!
Well usually pain "Under" your ribcage is gas related. Have you had a history of being a very gassy person? And one more question, Do you have any anxiety issues?

Hi, thanks for your reply Smile
Actually it might be a gas thing, I've kind of spent up until now in my life trying to hold all my gas in from both ends... I've had serious pain from it before but it's so strongly engraved in me now that I can't expel gas, I have a lot of trouble even when I'm by myself. I had bad anxiety issues in the past but never nausea from them, I think my anxiety and self-esteem is a lot better now than from when I was a teenager. Is there anyway I can make it easier for myself to release gas now? I know that sounds like a weird question but it's just now when I need to burp or fart it just won't come out, it automatically cancels itself I think because I trained it to be that way Rolling Eyes
