Um, well actually... 5 months is how long
I went between my first ever period and my
second. When you're that young, long
pauses are not uncommon. I'd discuss it
with your mom.

Don't Freak Out Yet... Posted: 11-19-07 19:42pm
Everyone is different. I usually get my
period every 2 months. When I am healthy
and weigh more (i am petite) i have
periods sooner. When I am stressed and
losing weight, I get less or extremely
short periods. Since you barely had your
first period, it is not enough to judge
whether it is not normal because you don't
know what normal is for you yet. You can
check with a doctor if u want, but I
wouldn't say it is so unusual.

If it was your first ever period then it's
normal to be very irregular. For the first
maybe year or two, your periods aren't
always regular. However, they will start
being soon. I wouldn't worry about it if I
were you
