I had my Gallbladder removed three months ago via, lap chole. During the procedure my gallbladder broke in half, and my common bile duct got a hole in it. To repair the hole I had to have an ERCP to place a stent. I was in the hospital for a week. I also had to have a JP tube placed because of the gallbladder breaking in half. I was released with the tube and was able to have it removed the following week. I was supposed to have the stent placed for 3 months. I was feeling tired and sick, which is normal after surgery, but with each day that pasted I felt a little better. So the day came to have the tube removed, and I was excited, it went fine, with the exception that it felt uncomfortable, but it was fine. A week or two later I started to have these attacks in my epigastric area to my upper right abdomen. They would really hurt, I mean I would hunch over in pain. I thought it had something to do with the stent, so with my post op visit with the gastro doctor I told him about the pain, but it just felt it could have been from all of the irritation I sustained from the surgery, and then the ERCP. I wasn't happy with the answers I got so I decided to go to my family doctor and ask hiim about it. I told him about the pain and how I would feel like I was going to pass out, I would get clamy, I would feel sick, etc... He became concerned so he had me admitted to the hospital and I had the stent removed. The leak was gone, and I was sent home. It has been over a month since the stent was removed and I am still in severe pain. Now, however, it is constant, it is now my whole right side, upper and lower, even my belly button hurts me. My family doctor has sent me for so many tests: CTs of the chest and abdomen, a chest x-ray, blood tests. He ever suggested a colonoscopy, but my surgeon felt one would not give me the information I was looking for. So my surgeon refered me to pain management. I went to the appointment and they gave me anti inflammotory meds, that do not work, and said come back in two weeks. Many many sleepless nights I have spent crying in pain, pleding with my mom to help me. I dont knwo what to do... I was again in severe pain last week and went to the ER, I was have pain in my lower right abdomen, it hurt to put pressure on and it hurt more to take it off, and my belly button hurt. They thought appendicitis, they did blood work and a ct and everything came up normal. I dont know what to do! HELP! My family doctor has been wonderful, I feel he is trying to do more for me then the doctors who did surgery on me. He now wants me to see a GI specialist at the university of Penn. Some nurses I work with also suggested an MRCP, I dont know, Iam sooo upset and annoyed, because I know something is wrong, I know myself, and I dont feel like me. I know its not in my head, I wish someone could give me an answer. If someone has any suggests, I would appreciate anything. Thank you
