Hello

i'm on try-cyclen right now. But i've noticed that it has caused me to loose my sex drive and I also get yeast infections.... Whats the point of being on birth control if you dont want to have sex!?

I dont really know much about birth control.... Are there other ones that might be better for me (without these side effects)

I had the same problem while on ortho tri-cyclen. Talk with your doc and see if you can get switch over to ortho tri-cylclen lo. The side effects on that one are a little less than the other.

If that doesn't work, there are many different types of pills. See if another would be better for you.

I had the same problem with ortho-tryciclin. The lower estrogen made it a little better for me, but my cycles got so out of whack I was having my period every two weeks. I am now on the depo shot and i've had no yeast infections for 3 months (woo hoo!) and have my sex drive back. Unfortunately getting into depo can be straining in the beginning.. I bled for 6-7 weeks straight, but I haven't had a period in almost a month and a half, just spotting now and then.

I would switch brands altogether. Ortho lo messed up my cycle too. There are lots of pills you can switch to. Even ones with high estrogen that will not affect your sex drive.
