MY SISTER JUST DIED
My sister had a lump appear under her chin in May, she got it checked out, the doctor said it was infection and treated her for it. It went away, then a month later it came back..... Doctor sent her to a nose, mouth and ear specialist who said it was possibly plugged saliva glands, told her to eat, sour things ie/ lemon juice. She seen a dentist to rule out all teeth/jaw related and dentist found nothing. They booked her for an MRI of it, but way to late, cause she ended up with a inflammed gall bladder, which never contained gall stones...weird yes we agree. Then she had a heart attack, they said 2 days after her gall bladder was removed, then they said no it wasnt a heart attack just inflammation around the heart. Then it lead to fluid on the lungs and she died... All in a week of having her gall bladder out, and two months after her lump in neck appeared which they said was not at all related. SO MY ADVICE IS DO NOT TRUST ANY DOCTORS, GET a second and third opinion on everything... if you do not feel right about it DO SOMETHING. VOICE IT CAUSE THESE DOCTORS GET AWAY WITH MURDER IN MY OPINION!!!!!!

i did this because i kept getting reffered to different doctors for 2 years straight .everytime i even thought about eating my
neck glands would swell and i would nearly have a double chin towards the end it was exruciating

anyway an mri will not find stones they are made from calcium says my nuerosurgeon and my contrasting mri.
an x-ray will do the trick.
btw doctors are human too, but it is frustrating when they get it very wrong. i have a small inoperable thalamic glioma and even the local registrar cant believe why morphine and oxycodone doesnt stop my pain. IT IS OK TO GET A 2ND 3RD or EVEN 4TH oppinion

I also just noticed a lump under my chin about the size of a nickel it hurts to touch it. I thought that I had just gained weight or something because it looks like I have a double chin now just when I slightly tilt my head forward. I have a really bad blemish on my chin also that I had before I noticed the lump and i have messed with it quite a bit but I held a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol on it last night for and hour to keep it from getting infected. I don't think its related to the lump under my chin but I am not sure. The past couple years I have had issues with always having this sore throat with swollen lymph nodes. I have it probably 8 out of 12 months every year for the past like 4 years. Sometimes it gets really bad when I cant swallow or it just hurts to swallow and or I get the white puss on my tonsils. but I asked my doctor about getting my lymph nodes removed and they told me that they are doing what they are supposed to do. which confused me. I'm not sure exactly what this is related to. I know a lot of times swollen lymph nodes come with infection so that's why I mentioned the blemish but then again I'm not sure if this is just the beginning of my sore throat swollen lymph node thing. I am also unsure if there are glands under my chin.

Symptoms:
YES! I am not crazy Smile Lump started forming 3 days ago... felt kind of like a pulled muscle on day 1. Then came the cold sore. At day 2 it began swelling. I thought it was the beginning of an awful cold, but It is now day 3 and i feel alright aside from being tired and the sore swollen lump. I hit the books to find out what the heck is going on?!!!
BEFORE SWELLING:
I have all wisdom teeth and after recent dental examination and cavity fillings (Oct 2011), the dentist concludes that i will need them removed. I had 2 cavities filled and there are some more that still need filling so maybe it could be an infection related to that? The dentist mentioned i may need a root canal on one of the cavity-filled teeth. Also last December 2010 i had a swimming accident where i was kicked in the face. I never went to the doctors for it until i got a HORRIBLE, month long, sinus infection for the month of January 2011... I am 20 and have never had one until or since then. Now i get swimmers ear and my teeth and craniosacral bones have been shifting since the accident.

Strange as it seems- i think it is all connected. I am afraid to go to the doctors because i don't want to be cut up or put on meds. I'd rather see my chiropractor first LOL! I think i will do something in a few days if it doesn't clear up. Today i put myself on bed rest, hoping that will help my body get a jump start on healing it. Thank you all for posting and if you have any thoughts please reply!

Cures from a realiable source for lumps under the chin...
You could be very right about the chlorella. It is an item that most people do not study. When taking chlorella, you need to take fiber to absorb the metals, drink 4 cups of water with every meal and do colon cleanses. I can not see what it is that you have, but it sounds like a swollen or clogged lymph node. For lymph nodes, jump on trampolines for 15 min to half an hour a day. Cleaning the colon cleans the liver which cleanse the lymphatic system. If you are thinking that you have cancer, you would be best to alkaline your body with baking soda without aluminum- 1 tsp in a glass of water every two hours on day one for 36 hours and one tsp for 3-4 weeks. It is also a good idea to take coconut oil. If possible, get the mercury removed by a very knowledgeable dentist (question the). In the book "toxic disease overload-practical approach (ebook) plenty of the detox is shared. It is 70 pages long. I hope this helps

LUMP LUMP LUMP not so lovely LUMP
Hi my name is Kristin im 30 years old. I have a lima bean shape/ big gum ball size lump thing under my chin.

Heres the run down lets hope someone cane keep up as i find myself telling the story for each new medical staff i see. In sept. of 2011 i had a dry throat and my voice was very soft. I went to the doctors and was giving levaquin to take for 10 days...told the med for 10 days like told and carried on with my life. Out of no where on oct. 13th 2011 i was in the hospital for a week couldnt eat had a fever wasnt feeling well at all. Test showed my white cell blood count was very low so low that i had to wear a sexy mask and my son couldnt even come see me in the hospital. Took a month for my count to go back to normal. I started back to my life again. Nov. 2011 i get this dry throat and very soft voice again. I see a different doctor in the same doctors office. This doctor tell ms oh you have an infection . Once again im giving levaquin for 10 days and sent on my way. (im thinking this should do the trick ill be ok in 10 days) Jan.2 2012 I go into my doctors for stubbing my big toe ( toe nail bent 1/2 back ) The nurse practitioner looking in my chart says to me "hows your throat doing I see you had some problems in the past?" I was there for the toe but couldnt help myself and jumped to say....Oh im glad you asked because i still have the lump it never went away. She then feels the lump and say well this should have gone away after having levaquin twice. She orders me to hae an ultrasound done the next day. The next day i get a call after the ultrasound and im told i have a mass near a lymph node. I go tomorrow to see an ENT. Anyone have any helpful words on this? I am kinda of wondering if maybe all this stuff that has gone on in the past few months is from this lump.

Thank you

About 8 months ago I developed a large lump under my jaw, round shaped and about an inch across. After C-Scan,ultra sound and needle guided biopsy it was determined to be "reactive" a response to colds I had had back to back and benign. It started to get smaller about three months ago and is pretty well gone now.

No, not necessary. It was my body's response to a virus (colds) so antibiotics would not have helped, it slowly has gone away.

Lump under chin (submental lymph node?)
I am going to the doctor in the morning for a lump under my chin that is in a place I found to be called the submental lymph node, I guess. I have been breaking out like crazy the last month or so and never put the two together until reading other posts. I have very sensitive teeth, in fact I prob need a root canal but I am waiting to get on my husbands insurance to get it checked out. Hopefully I can get some answers in the morning from the doctor because I get anxiety about this sort of stuff. I used to have graves disease (hyperthyroidism) about a year ago I finally went into remission and was able to get off prescriptions. I have not been tested in a year for my thyroid and realize that is lower down my neck than this lump under the soft spot under my chin. But I wonder if it could be connected. I have had trouble loosing weight lately have run 3 miles a day 5 days a week for several months and can't lose any weight. I'm thinking maybe I went into the opposite thyroid hypo. I don't know, I hate going to the doctor because I have to pay a lot out of pocket and try not to whenever I don't really need to. Ok well I hope that I can give some insight after tomorrow to ease a couple minds just like I have needed tonight.

I was sick with clogged Sinus and sore throat. By the 3rd day I had blisters in one nostril and blisters outside the other below the nostril. Maybe from blowing and whipping non stop. This morning got a sore pea sized lump under my chin. Feels like if i were to squeeze it might pop. the area feels tender and sore. Right before bed I ate a cup of ramen soup and porkrinds. My family says its from all that salt. Going to the quickcare today.

Scared about the bump and the pain :S
Hey everyone,
Slight dilemma here and i'm freaking out.
Last night when i was tossing and turning in my sleep, i was awaken with pain in the area under my jaw, right below my chin. And when i touched it i felt a bump. But i had no bump or pain before i went to bed.
This is the second time it has happened but the first time didn't hurt this much and the pain was in the particular place where the bump was. This time the whole area under my jaw hurts and the bump is bigger.
I'm not sick, no throat pain or anything but since i'm 18 i'm expecting my wisdom teeth any time now. Could this be causing the bump and the pain?
I can't move my head much because it tightens and hurts a lot.
Last time it lasted for 3 days before it just disappeared in the middle of the night. And that was about over a week ago.
Anyone got any clue what might be going on?

i have been having similar problems on/off for the last 3 years. lump under my jaw, painful to the touch, that would make chewing and swallowing difficult. always treated with azithromycin.

well this year, i've had it about 6 times since oct 2011. finally went to an ENT when the Z-packs weren't clearing the infection, and have been on multiple antibiotics since then to clear it. the ENT did a CT scan which revealed a cyst, likely a thyroglossal duct cyst but possibly a ranula. because of recurrent infection, he's advised surgery so i'm having it excised in a month.

go seen an ENT! my general practictioner had no idea what it was.
