Hello, I have noticed some plaque starting to harden into tartar on my front teeth. I wonder if it's possible to remove it with some gentle whitening toothpaste? I don't usually use toothpaste with abrasive ingredients like perlite as I think it's not good for the teeth. The plaque or tartar has been there for some weeks and seems to stick to the tooth. Can tartar demineralize the enamel that it's covering? Seems a bit annoying to have tartar on my front teeth. I regulary have tartar removed when I see the dentist.

you could always use a mouthwash that loosens up plaque. I use it and it seems to do the job. and if the enamel is weakening there is a mouth wash that restores teeth too.
