Q: Worried About My Baby

The dr. called me to say that my progestrone levels are falling. He's putting me on progestrone twice a day and I have an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday.

I'm trying not to stress.
I feel great despite that. He said it may just be an ovary that's not working properly.

As long as they catch it (which they did) low progesterone levels are nothing to worry about. Many women are on progesterone supplements in the first tri.

And you get a sneak peek at your little one!

I'm sure the baby is fine. Don't stress because it effects the baby! I'll pray that everything is okay in there

I'll be 6 weeks on Monday. My levels were 16 last week and 14 this week. I took the first dose a few hours ago and it made me really dizzy. I hope it doesn't do that everytime I take it.
Thanks girls! I'm going to bed. We have a busy day tomorrow.
We ended up not going to the game tonight. We left too late and ended up at outback.

What dose did they give you? Are you taking it twice a day or once?

i don't get those numbers. i'm only familiar with the number that's supposed to double every 2 days (i don't know what it's called).

so what should your levels be?

Bridget is the word your looking for "beta" That's what my doc called it for me when they were checking my levels.

I am sure that everything will be fine...try not to stress too much, although that is easier said than done Smile

It's prometrium 200 mg twice a day
bridget, i don't know what it's suppose to be, but i've read on other forums that some people have a 12 at 6 weeks and aren't even taking anything for it.
He's just concerned more that it dropped rather than it being sorta low.

The twice a day is hard. If you only had to take it once a day I would tell you to take it before bed. It always made me very very tired.

You'll start feeling it work pretty shortly (maybe tomorrow?) All those lovely pregnancy symptoms will get worse 10 fold.

Are you taking it orally or vaginally. Vaginally seems to absorb better but both ways do work. My doc wants the progesterone levels at 17 in your first trimester. 14 is not bad though.
