It is very painful. I have my nose pierced. I got it done in july of 2000. I absolutely love it, except jayden always tries to get it and alot of times it gets pulled out and its very painful. If it were to close up on me I would never get it done again!!!!!!!!!! The piercing was the soo painful. Almost as bad as labor!!! Haha...But its your choice, I personally like the way it looks. I wouldn't suggest using a hoop. Although that is what they pierce it with most of the time. I have a little diamond stud in mine. Good luck!
