Q: Back Pain, Enlarged Uterus

I am 43 yrs old and have been having severe low back pain and left leg pain. I have done over 10 months of physical therapy and seen a Physiatrist, orthopedic surgeon and a chiropractor. I have a mild annular tear, which they all say should not cause so much pain. My Gynechologist says my uterus is enlarged to about twice the normal size and that is the cause of my constant back pain. The endometrium is 16.25mm thick. He wants to do a hysterectomy. What are your thoughts on this? What are the chances that i go thru the hysterectomy and my back pain does not go away? Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks,
Shar

I think your chances are good of this solving your problems; I'd go through with it personally.

i have the same symptoms
I am scheduled for hysterectomy. I can't wait to have my life back again. I am in constant and extreme pain (stabbing pain on both right and left pelvic bones, ovaries no doubt, and pain in lower back and down both legs), and the gyno just figured out i have an enlarged uterus.
