I was 14 and I walked into barber school. I was under the influence and I thought that it was a movie. I saw the smoke coming from the building and it looked like an action flick. I remember thinking why are they showing this in barber school? I stayed in the back of the class and never looked at the tv again. I was oblivious. I went home early that day and passed out until 7 that night. My friend called me and told me all that happened. I was shocked and horrified. I felt so horrible. Just reading this post has brought tears to my eyes. All those people.

God Bless America.

I was.. 20 years old.. (god im old) i was at my apartment sleeping when the first plane hit..

My younger brother (news addict) ran into my room and woke me up screaming about how a plane had hit the world trade center in New York.. so i got up, and went to look at what he was ranting about, and sure enough.. Then we saw the second one hit, and i just started crying.. Called my mom at work, and then walked up to her work (our apt complex was right behind there) and just sat there, in awe, watching TV.

Sad..

I was 16 at the time, junior year in HS and sleeping when it happened. I got up and got ready for school that morning w/out knowing anything. When I got on the city bus on my way to school I heard people chattering to each other " did you hear what happened in New York?"
I still didn't really know anything until I got to my first period class and everyone was talking about it and freaking out, so then I turned to a classmate and said " what is everyone talking about? what happened?" I was shocked when they told me but it still didn't seem real until I went to my next class and my teacher turned on the news and we watched footage of it pretty much for the entire class..I was so shocked! it was like that for the rest of the day at school and a lot of people were scared, it brought a lot of us closer even though it happened so far away. Everyone was just so nice to each other and really comforting towards one another too. I cant believe its was so long ago already.

I was at work and went so histerical I went to my son's aviation acadamy and got him out. As we drove home with me in litteral tears (That was my home) we then hear about the pentagon and then we knew this was it. I took me a couple of months to figure things out, paying close attention later on to the Warren Commission.
