For eight years doctors have suggested I have temporal arteritis. However, my sed rate is usually 2-7; and biopsy was negative. My symptoms are pain and swelling in the temporal artery areas. Many times these symptoms are preceeded by severe vise like pressure on the top of my head. Usually occurs 2-3 times per week, often seems to be related to changes in barometric pressure...Although not definitive.
A new doctor is now suggesting tmj could be the cause of my headaches.
Has anyone ever experienced this type of head pain? What has your experience with treatment been.
