Abnormal Hida - Technician Was Stumped
Posted: 11-08-07 19:15pm

Increasingly frequent nausea when eating, 3-4 mos. Occasional upper abdomen pain after eating, only at night, 3+ yrs. No other symptoms, except perhaps for occasional loose stools after eating.

Ejection fraction less than 5% over the first 5 minutes of CCK. After the 6th minute, GB curve spiked up higher than starting point within two minutes, slowly coming down, but still finishing higher than it originally started. Machine did not give a final EF, presumably because it finished higher than it started.

Technician w/ over 20yrs exp. had never seen this before.
