Hi!
Do you find little difficult to fall asleep in the evening?
Do you often sleep less than 8 hours per night?
Do you have inconsistent sleep with one or more awake periods during the night?
Do you feel that your alertness and ability to function are diminished?
Is the lack of energy more intensive in the afternoon or evening time?

Maybe the activities you are doing before you fall asleep are causing the trouble. Try NOT to work or be in the computer 2-3 hours before falling asleep. Reading helps me get sleepy...so maybe pick up a good book?

Can you think of something that have preceded this sleep problem?
Were you ill weeks ago and spending most of the time in your bad?
Do you usually practice stay up or sleep in late?
Do you eat and drink caffeinated beverages or smoke before going to bed?

The sleeping problems you are experiencing( late night insomnia, early morning insomnia) are resulting from disturbed Circadian Rhythm.
Circadian Rhythms are our body’s natural cycles that control appetite, energy, mood, sleep and libido. Because the circadian rhythm controls the sleep/wake cycle, circadian rhythm disorder often results in insomnia.
Almost all of us, at some time during a year fall out of balance and suffer from sleep, mood or anxiety disorders.
Poor sleep hygiene, excessive intake of red bull and coffee can be cause of Circadian Rhythm Disorder.
Circadian Rhythms control the timing, quantity and quality of the hormones and neurotransmitters the body produces and eventually secretes. Hormones and neurotransmitters are the elements that determine how we feel, our sleep patterns, our appetite, our sex drive and other sleep and mood-related issues.
I think your sleep problem matches with Advanced Circadian Rhythm Disorder.
Try to get more info about it and find solutions for making yours circadian rhythm work properly.

Best wishes
Marija
